Overpowed if mafia, and useless if village. Mafia could reduce and that helps them but village reduces and that helps mafia. Either way its just too big of a role for people to take. Maybe instead of that how about something that times people and when they've talked enough the day ends without warning and the person with the most votes is lynched... Hmmm....

I like this idea, but it needs work. Another suggestion to consider:

*Village sided.
*If killed, everyone oversleeps and is late for the village meeting. The day is shortened to 2 minutes.

Ok. Set desired time should be mafia sided
For town sided should be if he dies it is set to a random time

What about this? If the watchmaker dies, the next day gets cut into two minutes.

It's refreshingly creative, but I don't see it as a town role. Town wouldn't want to limit their scumhunting and decision time.
Although, it might be interesting as a easter egg role. They see themselves as blue, but once they vote, the remaining day time cuts in half or something.

Why not just make it so they can choose once per game to make the day last like 2 minutes? Otherwise why would they pick anything less?

I think they should suggest the night lenths. or force a night action on someone. So like if mafia is nking he can force them to vote during the day he will choose and during the night there will be no "no one" button.

Interesting idea but i'm not sure it would pan out too well.

It's definitely interesting but I have the feeling that the mafia would always set the time to the lowest possible.
