Hostage Taker
  • Can reveal itself during the day and take a hostage (once per game).
  • If lynched, the hostage is killed with the Hostage Taker.
  • Cannot take a hostage if votes are locked, taking a hostage makes the hostage and hostage-taker unvote.
  • Sided with the mafia.
  • Can take mafia partners hostage (for wifom) and town hears a message "Shanko has taken LOLUMAD hostage!"
  • Hostage is silenced.

How about you make it similar to werewolf? Hostage taker has to guess role of hostage they are taking during the day, if they're wrong they fail and are revealed.

It feels a little too strong without a condition for the hostage taking, especially if it can silence a role out.

I think that the hostage should be able to talk but after the hostage talks the hostage taker has the ability to immediately kill the hostage.

Would add that if a person who was given a gun from GS shoots the HT there is equal chance the HT is killed, the hostage is killed, or they are both killed.

Yeah the tricky part is how to restrict the hostage takers ability to using it before the majority is voting him, so he cant just take a hostage and self-hammer making it autowin for mafia after that on a lylo. maybe if he just cant vote for 10~30 seconds after he takes a hostage. and yes Alexpan thats the point, hostage taker would only use his ability when hes cornered or outted as a mafia making the town have to redirect their lynch to another mafia or sacrifice the player hes taken hostage
