I pictured the Knifesmith to be used in setups with investigative PRs and a healing role of some kind, along with guns. It might be a bit of a niche, but my idea was that a knifed townie could stab the PR after they out in case of a sniper or a CC that a sheriff or deputy want to take care of.

About the traitor>killer thing: I picture it as if the Killer is taking matters of the Mafia into their own hands, going rogue.

Are knives one use? Maybe you could be able to use it more than once but each time you do the chance you'll be caught goes up
