A post of mine outlining potential buffs got wiped, I think, so I'll post it again. The werewolf could get 1 of 2 (possibly both) things: 1) immune to lynch on a day where he successfully devours and 2) immune to nightkills the night after he successfully devours.

Hmmm... He is revealed if he names it wrong... That is quite problematic, and may make the role become unappreciated, much like the killer. Plus, eventually, he'd be found as roles expire from the game.

He's not overpowered. He can't kill unless he know the role, and even if he fails, he will only be revealed, not killed, meaning he can still bluff his way out of death by being useful in CC's. Mafs could work with him on a quiet joint win if he's revealed. And Village can use him if he hasn't gotten anyone right yet, to find cultists.

One way I see it being more likable is if his kills make the bodies "go missing" so that it causes confusion to the village enough. Games tend to thread carefully around a single janitor work, just because of any possible role being missing. This way, regardless of successful or unsuccessful, the role is able to affect the game in someway.

Can they choose to not devour for the night?

Either devour a certain # of times, or be the last person standing.

How do you win though?

No

Fucking furries

Perhaps he's immune to lynches?

This sounds a lot like a bad killer. Killers have a hard enough time as it is.

I like this idea and just to add I think it both drop down lists should be at night, then during the day it'll say either "You devoured _____, the ______!" or something like that or "You failed to devour _____!" or idk. Good third party role I think

This is a great idea. Seems like PRs won't be able to claim.

I love this idea <3 :D

Yes, there would be two dropdown lists; one with player names and one with the roles in the setup.
3 devours sounds about right.
On the issue of preventing claims: that's the point. I play a lot of forum mafia where people hardly ever trueclaim first. It's a nice skill to have, and gold lobby members would definitely be able to handle this role.

How would you name the role, exactly? Would you choose the target during the night and then the role during the day? Would you have two choices to make (target and role) during the day? This role would make roles with reports a pain in the ass, though.

This seems like a warlock-type role, maybe two/three successful devours could result in a win. I'd say you should change the name, though, to Predator or Gambler or whatever. I see werewolf as being more chaotic, someone that sees himself as blue and kills one random person during the night, or something like that.

Hmmm. It's a cool one, also will render hilarious icons.

How about "Predator"?
almost 14 years
This should be named Gambler. T-up tough.

this should be something other than werewolf, if only because Werewolf = a mafia variant. and the wolves are basically the mafia. cool idea tho

I also like the idea of winning by revealing a role. But Blue shouldn't be able to be predicted. Make it win by devouring at least half of the Townie + Third Party roles of the game.

I dunno what the win condition would be, either. Number of devours seems like it would just make larger games with this role impractical.
Also, my goal with this is to teach people how to fakeclaim. It is a very valuable skill to have.

The concept of killing someone when you get their role right is interesting, no idea how I'd balance the win conditions though, maybe if you eat 3 people you win or something.

Errr... it says day right in the description >_>

during the day or as a night action?

Oops. I thought it would be apparent that by "may" I meant it would be optional :x

kinda underpowered. seems to only work in lots of bluu setup. novote should be an option so you can wait for claims.
