- -Very protective of his lineage
- -Has two "sons". One is mafia-sided while the other is village-sided (unbeknownst to the Patriarch)
- -Can sacrifice himself in place of a "son" if lynched
- -Wins if a son is alive at the end of the game
- The name "Patriarch", rather than something simpler such as "Father" or "Dad", seems fitting, since it comes with certain biblical implications. This role, while not inspired by any religious text, is reminiscent of that "Jacob v. Esau" story (two sons on opposite sides of the moral spectrum fighting for the blessing of their blind father). Thus the name "Patriarch".
