IMO Eavesdropper is a better maf-sided name

Maybe if they couldn't see who was whispering to the player that was selected it would give it less power.
I really like the idea though.

Exactly my point. If he guesses right maf have a huge advantage. If he guesses wrong they get near nothing.

Yes, but its different, making up a code has to be made out of the game where Mafia can't see them, Mafia, Masons and Cult can make codes because they make them inside the game, which isn't overpowered.

How is making up a code cheating? Janitors use codes all the time
