Miracle Worker
  • Townsided role, inspired by Miracle Max from "The Princess Bride".
  • .
  • Every night, each Miracle Worker votes for one person, which can include themselves. Multiple Miracle Workers hold a conversation at night and must agree upon a target.
  • .
  • If the target would die that night, he does not, yet he's shown as being dead in the graveyard with a "Miracle Worker" role. He is also counted as dead for the purposes of sides fulfilling win conditions.
  • .
  • The target (if saved) is told, "Miraculously, you're still breathing, but you must rest for awhile." He's silenced and cannot vote for one day and one night. He sees only regular village conversation, and cannot participate.
  • .
  • At the start of the following day, he's returned to play, in the village:
  • -as a Villager (a "blue") if originally townsided or thirdparty, or
  • -as a Mafia (a "nilla") if originally mafsided.

SuperGanondorf: Miracle Worker would take lowest priority, for flavor reasons. If a doc can save someone, a "miracle" wouldn't be required. And you're right, being able to save and autoclear every night is overpowered. Adjusted.

JoeMcBobski: There would still need to be at least one loser in a game with a Miracle Worker, which doesn't aid point farming any more than getting creative with a Cultist. But I suppose it can be fixed by making him a non-conversion role.

It's a good role, but I think being able to save every night is a bit overpowered given that the saved gets autoclear as well as being saved. It makes more sense to have him try to save every night but only manage to successfully do it once, after which he cannot save again. Also, if there's a doc also in the setup and Miracle Worker and Doc are on the same person, and that person is targeted, which save takes priority?

also, this would make point farming way too easy

so what he does is make completely dead people only MOSTLY dead

He wins with town. The point is to make an alternate doc-style role which makes it unclear if the town is at MYLO or LYLO.
- Stronger than doc, because it's self-targeting and the role will return as an automatic clear.
- Weaker than doc, because anyone saved this way loses their role, a day's worth of being able to contribute, and gives non-town sides a window of opportunity to win.
I envision mafia falseclaiming Miracle Worker, giving village a false sense of hope. I also envision Miracle Worker working with Vigilante (or other roles that kill at night) to "convert" non-townsided roles into townsided roles.
