- Can vote anyone to be his friend at any time by day (like for gun use) OR by night.
- The vagrant and the friend go out for a walk:
- - they disappear (instantly by day, next morning by night) from group votes, possibly causing or averting a lynch or saving someone from taking a bullet;
- - they cannot be voted ("you vote for a gone person" or something similar);
- - they speak only between themselves while away;
- - unlike jailer, the vagrant victim learns the vagrant's identity;
- - they cannot perform their role's actions while away;
- - they cannot die for lack of bread, perform object-related actions etc. while away.
- Vagrant and friend reappear in the morning at the town meeting, either next day or after agreeing to come back (by vote).
- Multiple vagrants should operate independently, possibly picking each other (and learning that the other is a vagrant)
- It should be a town role, able to save clears, time-shift temporarily useless PRs who risk being killed, remove suspect mafia without doing something irreparable, etc.
- The obvious change to make it more powerful is letting him learn his friend's role; considering that the friend can claim vagrant, maybe it isn't overpowered.
