  • A role used in specific setups, mainly to make up for the mechanical shortcomings of silencer and ventriloquist.

This prevents Vent from being useless. Plus, if you think that Forger is useless in some situtations (such as LYLO), you treat him like a nilla. Same like Jan, who's only useful at N1.

I've got a solution.

The forged vote isn't seen in the village vote. In fact, forger doesn't control what the village sees directly.

Instead, the altered vote only changes when the day ends.

Can't say I'm completely sure of its use, especially in 3 way LYLO, where forging a vote would be way too obvious. But from 5 way to more, making a player, especially a silent one, vote quickly for another player, or changing his vote at the last second, or making it change often, or making it seem like he's leaving the hammer to a scummy person are all things that could make said person look scummy. I guess it's a role that really requires being subtle with it. Oh and unrelated, but I guess when LK dies, forger could also make someone look scummy, or trollish, by voting quickly, flashing to "prove" information said in the dark, etc.
