Isn't that the best part of mafia? Scumhunting, rather than relying on PRs is the real reason this game was invented.

Honestly, EM games have become too reliant on roles such as tracker and watcher, and we underestimate the power of our own intuition. Even as a blue you have a great amount of power.

Plus, the best part about multi-setup is that it sets quite a few interesting options for fakeclaiming.

Why did we get +2 comp'd setups? O-o

The only thing holding this setup back is the inability for mafia to know who their partners are on D1. It needs to be day start, but mafia need to be able to see their partner.

Is there any way that all mafia-oriented roles are revealed to every other mafia-oriented player?

Spies participate in kill meetings. Silencers are the ones that don't.

The spy would send a message like "Hello, my name is CherylCole. Make your next line of text include the word 'fail'" or something to that effect.

The spies send anonymous messages, yes. That way they could contact their mafia partner without needing whispers or the risk of leaking. The only purpose the spy would serve would be to establish the identity of the other mafia partner in d1.

What happens if a spy sends a message to a towny, and outs their name?

Spies can tell when there are other roles in the setup, though. Which sort of defeats the purpose of the mafia not knowing the layout of the setup.

This is an awesome setup and loads of fun if played properly but most people are probably too inattentive to do it right.

EM is not mafia the party game nor forum mafia.

It is the height of arrogance to barge in and claim to be the savior of something you do not even understand.

Just because it is a good setup for a different game does not make it a good setup for this game.

The title is supposed to be sarcastic. I'm definitely not the savior, but I think that my suggestion deserves a chance. You can't seriously think that scumhunting should be absent on EM just because it is chat mafia rather than forum/IRL?

EM certainly has a different metagame, but that's the playerbase fault, not the setup's.
