It's actually a mafia advantage. The driver is capable of driving someone to no one and the role states that it cannot. Basically, the driver is also a hooker.
Oh, wow. Well the watcher has always been the strongest town power role, so I'm not too concerned. Drivers will be trying to avoid watcher so probably won't drive too much. Cop might claim for doc and watcher protection at the risk of being hooked, and watcher can verify doc, so I don't think it will change the statistic too much. If there IS a significant change, then the score gain per will will change to reflect this.
This is why I think it's a bigger deal than just balancing: * Can choose two people at night. * Any actions done on those two people at night will be swapped. * Driver cannot drive another power role to a target not in their list. * You cannot swap someone with no one. * Sided with the mafia. -------------------------------------------------------------------- It says in the role tip that Driver cannot do something it can. So if a driver does use the no one feature the game is telling town that it's not possible. That's why it's broken.
It may very well be broken, but it is hardly a unique situation. See article on 'disguiser'. Anyway, there is no obligation to play the setup; people seem to be avoiding it for the most part, which is fine by me. People will learn to adapt to the faulty mechanic, especially now that you've raised awareness. And it is illogical to assume that this will be fixed: the 'bug report' forum is practically just composed of ghosts floating on a midnight air (for some reason I just wanted to say that O.o). I will consider removing it (if I still can, and feel this is being abused enough to warrant so) after I've specced some games of the setup.
I'll try to go another route and ask lucid to alter driver and say that they can drive with no one. I miss driver and love this setup and that seems to be the easier fix for now.
