Classic mafia, with a potential third-party twist. This is very much a scumhunt-based game, where you have to realize that there is probably a third-party role out there, and that this third-party role probably has an agenda. Be careful who you lynch! -***-

Much of the setup revolves around softclaiming. Until the random role winds up in the GY, there is only one player at the table who knows what variant is being played. Whispers, leaks, etc will be a factor in determining who to lynch. And with a miller in the mix, you can never really guarantee that the first blackhat to appear in the GY was really part of the scumteam...

Thanks. I want to get this setup balanced, which might need to include a bit of revision. But I think it could be really fun.

This seems interesting, but setups 1 2 and 4 seem like they'd be surprisingly hard for Mafia to win. Setup 3 might demand a Mafia-Fool joint if Mafia have any shot at winning. I'd also give Mafia a Stalker so they can keep away from killing their possibly jointees lol.

Goodbar - the Nash equation, and analysis on the basic mafia game with only villagers and nilla mafs, suggests that a 2-6 ratio of maf-vil is about 50-50 vil-maf assuming no day start and roughly equally good players. With the third parties, except for the bomb, this becomes skewed far more towards the maf, at least I'd guess, which is why I added a miller (who will appear to be scum when they die). My guess is that over 50+ games, this will be PRETTY CLOSE to balanced between maf and town. But I'd like to test it in ranked to see what tweaks need to be made, since testing it in unranked would be insane - there are way too many people who would get bored of long scumhunting days, etc, and just sui.

Lol maf partner dies n1 and 1 win the game single handly. The random role claims. He claims bomb. After that only blues die. We end upon the day before the game ends. Bomb says FoS's and outs who they think was the most clear. The mafia was apperently pro town. I forget he claimed bombed so I kill him in night.and he ends up as survivor. I pin that against someone that was his FoS the remaining cross and I have the hammer. Ultimently winning the game. Thank You Kana! :)
