nailed it. a lot darker than critics gave it credit for, especially the low iq ones who thought it was just a cheeky meta-commentary on video game violence
also i really wish people hadn't gone bananas over hotline miami since it took me this long to appreciate it. like i played it once and was like "cool i guess but who cares" but i replayed it recently and have discovered that it really is brilliant
freakin ign gamespot escapist and kotaku all played it up as this epic win killing spree simulator when it's really about a man with psychosis getting entangled in russian mafia v. american nationalists.

i have all the achievements but the all A+ ranks one, and i'm almost done with that
very good games, maybe even a lil underappreciated. i look forward to whatever the devs do next.
the sequel was maybe a little frustrating gameplay-wise but the storytelling is great
i think i may have tried to A rank stuff in the first game, but in hotline 2 i just did whatever, most of the missions were too frustrating to try to repeat
