I ended up getting -Bastion -Crypt of the NecroDancer -Jotun -That whole Half-Life 2 deal
Also got Portal, as for some reason I've never gotten this but have Portal 2.
I don't think I'm going to spend any more money, unless any other games really stand out.

Well I'm still looking at trailers and stuff and narrowing down what I want the most. The problem is that I just can't buy everything you guys all recommended, so I'm pretty chose-y in what I want.
Old Republic looks fun but, I'm still narrowing down what exactly I want in case there's something I want even more
Prince of persia -The sands of time : This is definitely the best one from the series, the atmosphere of this game is so beautifull, decent scenario with some really good tracks.
Fable : The lost chapters : The first RPG i've ever played, this game is one of the reasons why i got into RPG games. The story is really interesting, the thing i enjoy the most about this game is that you can change your destiny by opting for good or evil, and it will result in influencing the behavior of the people around you in this universe.
Rise of the argonauts : Greek mythology based game, where you will play as Jason with the company of the other the argonauts in quest to find the Golden Fleece. If you are a fan of myths, you should play it.
Resident evil 4 : Really nothing to say, its a classic and a must play.
I'll post more later.

tabletop simulator is well worth it if you're partial to flicking dwarf figurines at your friends and flipping tables
Also if you like Skyrim then Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights are in a similar vein. Planescape Torment is very different but a fun RPG and you'll note similarities between it, Fallout and KOTOR 2.
Clannad, Fruit of Grisaia, Devil on G-String and planetarian are great reads if you don't mind the Japanese. Entertaining stories that will go for hours before you realize you've wasted your life f*cking anime

I love your hipster taste, i was going to tell him about the mighty morrowind . I love this game so much that my nick on some websites is dagoth.
I got GTA V, Civ V, the Terraria 4 pack, and some game called Dungeon of the Endless all for under $70. If you're only buying Terraria for yourself then you could also get another $10 game for the same total price.
also like golbolminator said star wars games are good
oh and if youre into sonic when it was good, sonic adventure DX and 2 are really great (even though theyre way better on console), and sonic generations is pretty good too.
Also get Left 4 Dead 2 if you don't have it. No point in getting L4D1 when the first game comes repackaged in the second.
Republic Commando, Empire at War Gold, and the Force Unleashed games are also good Star Wars games to throw in.
Right now the games I recommend the most are both Knights of the Old Republic which I mentioned earlier. They're RPG/adventure and you said you want that so get them like right now.
Chaotic's Steam Summer Sale Game of Recommendation: "I Am Caligula" by Seraphim Creations
I Am Caligula is an RPGMaker strategy rpg about the young roman emperor caligula and his short rule. it covers the historic events that happened, does away with those that didnt happen, and explores the nature of caligula's character. the strategy rpg part makes it so that you can kill , and who doesnt like killing ? I Am Caligula is educational, fun, and cheap! in fact, with the steam summer sale, its only 49 cents! €0.49! so its probably pretty cheap in america too.
pretty good/10

maybe I'll think about getting it, that trailer grossed me out tbh
Definitely thinking about getting the half life series the most, though
No, it's actually really good and funny! Trust me, it's awesome, the cutscenes are the only "frightening things" and you learn quickly to appreciate their humor.

This war of mine is a war game where you play the civilians in the war. You have to build up a base and go steal supplies every night. It is really fun and pretty messed up at sometimes. In my first game I tried to steal some food but some woman caught me and called her husband. He came and stabbed me up so I quickly got out of there. A few days later I had a crowbar so I went back and beat the hell out of him and killed him then I stole everything and left but after my guy was depressed for days because he killed a dude, stole all the food then left a woman there to starve...

List of good games:
All the fallouts MGS 5 Garry's mod civ 5 all the good telltale games (TFTBL,TWD,TWAU)
Tabletop sim if u like board games, Dead of winter costs 40 pounds. On sale this costs like 10. so if you want every board game ever (pretty much) get this and you save like 1000 pounds.
Skyrim,Morrowind,Oblivion Hitman blood money + absolution (but absolution is much worse)
If you are good in throwing away 40 bucks and becoming an alpha tester for the next 2 million years get overgrowth. It is progressing but has been in alpha for 3+ years and is slowly ticking along
