transgirls in sports

almost 9 years

this thread was locked some time ago but we never actually had a discussion on it. from past chatbox encounters, a lot of people were interested in it.

greetings epicmafia community,

I think we need a good discussion on trans-people in sports.

Recently, I was reading the news that a trans-girl had been allowed to play on the girls track team. However, this person began to break many previously held records established by other women.

Personally, I believe this is extremely unfair to other people born as girls - objectively, the male human body is stronger and faster than that of a female on average.

please discuss

should trans-people be allowed to play on sports teams?

natural variation

what makes this variation more important than every other one with more concrete and demonstrable implications

oh right nothing simpletons just cant think that far. again, the same sort of people who racial profile when it's really about poverty but to a buffoon skin color is easier to spot

I found it funny that a transperson in alaska came in 4th place in some state race against freshman girls lol.

Like he hadn't even had the operation, he was just a dude saying he was a girl, and he was a senior, and he lost to girls 4 years younger.

more proof to my point that sex is a flawed indicator since every male and female arent clones of eachother

oh yeah don't forget about women that take steroids/testosterone even if they're not trans just to cheat anyway so hahaha

how is that even relevant
men do that too

but in the women's division, it'll "even out" the difference between a trans girl and a cis girl. not that it's right, just that it'll probably happen.

But what's the limit? The rule? Can Usain Bolt just say he identifies as a girl and run in the women's races, winning gold their as well? It's a grey area that needs to be defined.

they aren't, they're just good examples of why sex is a flawed indicator of physical ability

I think it could be unfair in sports such as tennis where males have the advantage of hitting the ball harder. There are already trans in professional sports and nobody is doing anything about it, look up serena williams and brittany griner

can you prove they're men

now my advice on proceeding: don't reply instantly, read the post and try really hard to think what those strings of words mean
