Also, my guild was miles ahead of every other guild on the server, and when they released Kazzak and Azuregos, we were the only ones who were able to run them. As a result, the best horde guild on the server took all of their equipment off and spammed the Blasted Lands to run at Kazzak to enrage him. Good times.
The best thing about vanilla was when you get to that point in the fight where you burst your vocal chords shouting, 'EXECUTE, EVERYONE EXECUTE, EXECUTE.'
I made a horde character when Hoamarush was released simply so that I could experience Barrens chat.

justrec u would be alliance scum. barrens chat was goddamn legendary tho as horde. i still remember my favorite chuck norris jokes that used to get repeated every hour on the hour.
honestly i don't think i can play MMO's seriously again after Wildstar though. Wildstar crushed my spirit. it was so damn good but so damn hard.
back in my day we didn't have group finder we just had to spam world chat until you finally found someone who wanted to run Uldaman with you and god help you if you're not a tank or a healer.
and dont get me started on RAID finder. fking casuals.
i remember running all the way to the barrens as alliance to do that one instance. you had to run your a ss in their quck as fk because people would kill you if they saw you standing outside waiting on your friends to get there
