Basically I want help for my homework. Haven't done any research since I want info from living beings. So:
1) How much does after school activities cost? Like how much for a kid or high-schooler would pay for a piano lesson? A football practice? Basketball practice? Painting school/practice? Would he pay for a single lesson or for a month of lessons? And how often those lessons take place? Average numbers are okay!
2) How much do families spend on vacations? The given example was a 4 people family from Pennsylvania going to Florida's Disneyland. They stay there for a week. How much would they spend on flight, food, hotel, activities, anything else?
I live in PA - one of my parents teaches piano and IIRC, they charge somewhere between 15-20 dollars a half hour per lesson. For pretty much any kind of lesson for art/music, about 20 dollars for a half hour lesson is a fair estimate. I don't know about sports.
Vacations obviously depend on a lot of things, but a vacation to Florida isn't something the average middle-class family here could afford, but vacations to Virginia/South Carolina are really common, and they don't have to cost more than a few thousand, if even that.
This got 10 upvotes. Can someone tell me where is the joke?
I live in PA. my family spends $200 per hour on my piano lessons and around 20k per vacation.
Are you serious?
I live in PA. My family spends about 35$ a month per person for the gym and then 5000$ for vacation. Art lessons are 40$ for once a week, it costs 340$ to join a soccer team and play for a season. This is for an average suburban life but city life is different.
Thank you very much about your reply! I want to inquire more about soccer team (since I've played it myself). So if I paid 340$ and joined, what does it include? Only practice sessions and games? You have to buy equipment yourself, right? Do you still have to pay for using gym in stadium (or wherever the training sessions take place)? And what about games? Any extra payment? And how do you go to games (like the ones that don't take place in your city). I heard that it's up to everyone individually. Don't you like sign up for a bus that takes the whole team and drives you to the city where game is taking place?
Reminder that the $ sign goes before the number and the ยข sign goes after the number.
