I hate that we voted out. I don't believe it should ever have been up for vote. Most of the people voting out didn't actually understand what they were really voting for or the consequences. Most were uneducated on what it meant. They literally said 'we want out of the EU but we still get our benefits and paid for right?'
NOPE.
So many things are getting cut. Our NHS is at breaking point. So many things that were meant to be taking place to make my country better are now cancelled. It's a complete shitstorm. And Mrs Brexit means Brexit May is determined to trigger article 50. Without the EU we are stranded alone on a small island run by the torries. It's a disaster.
I voted remain in this poll not because I really care or understand British politics but because I enjoy pressing buttons.
And blue is a good color. Actually if we get ONE MORE person to vote remain it would end up looking like a peace symbol! And that would be pretty cool I guess.
As a fellow Englishman, no, brexit hasn't happened yet, they said it will be a few more years until it fully happens. Although the sterling has taken a dip, I can see it picking itself back up once China cuts off connections with US and does larger trading with us. (Although, US should be fine so long as they remain friends with Russia).
The main issue with brexit was that English didn't want so many immigrants coming into the country and taking advantage of the poor benefits that allows them to not work, hence why England and Wales wanted to leave, Scotland and Northern Ireland however don't have much of an issue as they have their own government body and saw remaining in the EU more beneficially. This could be a contributing factor to why Frexit (French poll to leave the EU) with their relaxed border control and recent terrorist attacks.
I never voted on the day, just like many others in my country and many others over in the US with their presidential election. But with the government that we have so far, it was hardly a shock.
the government needs to enact something called article 50 for the process to actually happen but they're planning stuff before they actually do that

Did brexit actually happen yet? Or is it even going to happen? It seems sloppy to me if it's not despite the referendum

What's so lazy and sloppy about it? Referendums are anything but lazy and sloppy and are a pivotal part of a democratic society

Why do you think Brexit was a f*ck up? Why do you think the EU is a positive thing?
I like that they left the EU I don't think Brexit's a f*ck up I like watching the country as a whole care about politics but in such a lazy sloppy way that can only be comparative to the US
Politics doesn't seem to be as such a hardcore thing in quite a lot of countries, if not because a dictator or a lack of interest
The EU buys over 50 per cent of UK exports (54 per cent of goods, 40 per cent of services). Over 300,000 British companies and 74 per cent of British exporters operate in other EU markets. American and Asian EU firms build factories in Britain because it is in the single market.
also it would take ~2 years to fully pull out of the eu so its a very lengthy process
