Debate: How transparent is Congress

about 8 years

Discuss how open and transparent our lawmaking process is in the US Congress. Do you believe it's better for Congress to remain more transparent or more closed?

I want to hear arguments on what we know about the lawmaking process and what we (i.e. the public) don't know.

Aren't there live streams or something for us to listen to the floor or hearings? What don't we have access to?

I'm not saying democrats are perfect, not even close, but

I forgot the specific names but I've read up on how a republican filibustered their own bill because a democrat agreed with them. There's a lot of lacking transparency on what they actually believe in.

it's like they're so intent on proving to the people that are voting for them that they have NOTHING to do with the dems that they'll impede progress of the country in doing so.

I'll also rip into the dems, they at least /try/ to act more transparent even if it's obvious on where their best interests lie(big pharma) /o/
