This is the 4 player strategy. It's very strait forward. The only reason I'm placing it here is because people aren't able to actually play against me fairly it seems and so I'm here to even the odds. To begin with, here is the pattern of the next card someone will play in a list.

  1. Ace
  2. 5
  3. 9
  4. King
  5. 4
  6. 8
  7. Queen
  8. 3
  9. 7
  10. Jack
  11. 2
  12. 6
  13. 10
  14. Ace

This is a simple pattern that repeats itself in a four player game order. No matter how many players leave the table as long as the number of players is less than 13, the next cycle through the cards will always minus 1 from the previous cycle when it lands on you, in multiples of the number of players. Because of this, it's really easy to write a list and mark which cards you do and don't have.

This allows you to pick the cards you have relative to your most recent turn coming up, say for example Queen. If you are going to play a Queen, you realize that maybe you don't have a Jack or 4, but, you have every other card. You know that you have to get rid of your 8 in a lie, or manage to hold everyone off after getting a 4 until you can play the last cards without having to worry.

Another thing you can do is keep track of who has what cards from the calls. This will help you know when to call as well. This is how you hold off the horde until it's time to play what you need.
