Rebellion is a very good movie but the series Madoka Magica has to be watched for context..(like the movie, the series runs off the rails in terms of the plot, so give it a watch of at least 3 or 4 episodes).
Battle Royale isn't an anime but it's a great fast-paced movie that might be something you would enjoy. It's the O.G. Hunger Games with the fighting and without the politics (in the movie, anyway),
Little Witch Academia's OVA is a fun watch even though it is only 30 minutes long, and its movie is solid too (no need to watch the series for either).
Redline is a movie that was worked on for seven years. It shows both in the vivid handdrawn imagery and in the somewhat randomness of the plot.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is excellent and was popular enough at one time that some anime make references to it.
Girlz Und Panzer der Film is the weirdest "recommendation" I'll give because it's literally 30 minutes of tank fighting, 30 minutes of kawaii that almost made me gag, and 30 MORE MINUTES OF TANK FIGHTING. Reminds me of watching videos of toy trains when I was younger except... tanks.
Also, almost any other movie mentioned in this thread.
