This'll be a fun different one. I found out that today's my 4th anniversary of being on Epicmafia, so today's (April 24th) word of the day is
fødselsdato meaning birthday.
But this would not be complete without the Norwegian birthday song, which I discovered today- and herregud it is awesome (much better than the English version if I do say).
First, the English translation of it: Hurray for you for celebrating your birthday! Yes, we congratulate you! We all stand around you in a ring, And look, now we’ll march, Bow, nod, curtsy, we turn around, Dance for you and hop and skip and jump! Wishing you from the heart all good things! And tell me, what more could you want? Congratulations!
And now, you can hear how beautiful it sounds:
Bonus: Gratulerer med dagen can be translated to "happy birthday" but it literally means "congratulations with the day" so it is often also said on other occasions like Norway's National Day or New Year's Eve.
