Edit: Think I'm gonna kill this finally. EM just has so many errors lately that can make posting a pain sometimes and this lobby looks deader than ever. It's been fun.
i want a daily thread thing so that I can be unoriginal. Feel free to ask me questions or talk to me if you're interested in what I post or even if u aren't idc.
Edit: I'll add the important daily stuff here in list forms for an easy way to see them all at a glance without going through the pages.
I've kept a list of brief thoughts on seasonal anime I watch on a different site for a few years now. That site is gone now but I still keep track so if ur interested u can check it out here I guess...
There's tons of shows not mention here that I watch each season as well in addition to shows I watch after they've already aired so just ask if you're curious about anything else or check out my MyAnimeList account it has a complete list. I typically watch around 25 anime a season so there's a good chance I've seen or at least know most shows you would be interested about.
Currently Playing:
OldSchool Runescape
A Hat in Time
Pokemon Insurgence (playing alongside Tucker)
Pokemon Ultra Moon (On Hold with 2 Update posts ready to go)

No problem! It was a really good question I love listening to music. Also you def should go for it and watch! I'd say all the songs are better with the context of the anime and the anime are worth watching for the most part. Only exception is probably Re:Creators it's only average so maybe start with that one or skip it entirely but the rest are all quite good imo.
LOL poor wesker. Yea it's unfortunate that very little was saved from back then.
I actually might have known that about the butter posts tbh but I probably forgot my memory is pretty terrible at times.
Wow thanks for the analysis, I'll take a listen to them (or probably just watch the anime, it's likely better this way). It'll make the musical piece that much more worthy
SERIOUSLY my whole persona was so funny... and i feel like it only worked cuz of the ppl on that site. i sh*tposted so hardcore that wesker literally had to pm cam and ask him if i was really 12 years old or not.... i should have copy pasted every post i ever made and saved them to a notepad.
MY BUTTER POSTS WERE GOOD BUT THE BUTTER MEME WAS ACTUALLY BORN ON EPICMAFIA BTWN ME AND MATT i just feel like i have to let the people know that content was a two man show...
i'm secretly pissed that i lost all my sh*tposts on that website because i think that was when i was at my peak humor and now i'm just a depressed shell of my old self that occasionally says something funny
the worst loss of them all was my teal post.... my god... i'd do anything to see her again
Fourth is Gatchaman Crowds and Gatchaman Crowds Insight OST. Basically everything I said in my recommendation of the anime. The music is so upbeat and exciting but it also has some fairly experimental tracks for when there isn't a hype moment. It's a blast to listen to.
Finally would be the Madoka Magica OST. Yuki Kajiura is also wonderful at composing. I'm sure most people would recognize her style from Sword Art Online but my personal favourite of her work and an OST that really stuck with me was the Madoka Magica OST. Her pieces where she uses Piano/Violin primarily to convey sorrow really stick in my mind especially.
Honourable shotouts to:
The Monogatari Series OST for it's massive amount of variety even going so far as to have the VAs for every heroine sing the opening for each of their arcs and still managing to keep the majority of the songs very engaging.
Made in Abyss for the same things I said in my anime recommendation. This one is very recent and is from a composer I've never heard of before but it's quickly climbing into my favourites.
and finally basically anything from Joe Hisaishi though he's primarily known for his work on Ghibli films. I didn't want to include him because he's primarily only worked on movies but his work is fantastic and worth a mention.
somewhat although I personally used my Blog on SD for more troll/shitpost threads and occasional event hosting. Here I spend more time sharing things I enjoy to try and spark more conversation on the forum.
I'll do a top 5 like you then.
First that comes to mind is the entire Mushishi series OST is amazing. There's no vocals at all outside of the opening song but that's for the best. This OST is the perfect mix of somber, foreboding, and contemplative which really blends with the show perfectly.
Second would be the Zankyou no Terror OST. Yoko Kanno is a musical genius imo but this one in particular stands a little bit above her other compositions imo. A genius combination of occasional tense and exciting instrumentals that lead into more calm and melancholic vocal pieces. Some of which are in Icelandic! Only Yoko Kanno could achieve such a feat.
Third is the Re:Creators OST. Hiroyuki Sawano has such a unique sound to all of his compositions and you can easily pick one of his songs out the moment you hear them. I was going between this one and Kill la Kill for a while but I ultimately ended up picking this one.
Am I comparing specific anime or just trying to pick out my favourite anime OST? (if you want me to pick fav OST I'd probably split it up into genres because I can never pick just 1)
Happy New Years Bryce! Thank you for always checking out my thread I really appreciate it. c: (im a little late sorry I was out)
happy new years eeeeeeeeeeeve i just remembered that u and me are pst so together we can be annoyed while all of our est friends are like haha it's 2018 you're living in the past
I would also highly recommend watching the opening version that I'll put below as it has some of the most detailed, exciting, and stunning animation that I've seen in an opening in a long time!
