Birthday AMA

almost 7 years

Hi everyone I thought this would be a fun thing to do for my birthday here. So go ahead, ask me questions about my life, ask for advice, anything about ORGs, Survivor, TV, sports, homosexuality and Christianity, literally anything! Go for it!

(I won't do a game mode thing on the side because I respect the sanctity of Sammy's original ideas).

happy bday scott!!

do you have any advice on doing well in orgs

Thanks arisuu!

My main ORG advice that I think most new players make is don't assume you're smarter than everyone else. If you try to lie too much, if you try to manipulate too much, if you try to deceive too much, then most of the time you're going to get caught and it's going to backfire on you.

There are going to be times when you need lying and deception to get you into a better position in the game, and the best way for it to be effective is to establish yourself as an honest and trustworthy player so that when you do lie, when you do manipulate, people actually believe you. So be straightforward and honest with people whenever you can afford to - lying and deception needs to be kept on an as needed basis.

Happy birthday again!!

If you hadn't studied chemical engineering, what would you have liked to study instead?

Advice to a woman such as myself on getting a boyfriend or girlfriend after college?

The first question is actually quite difficult for me, I didn't really have a lot of alternate plans. Like maybe something like general sciences would have been what I was thinking at the time, but looking at it now I don't think I would have enjoyed that at all.

I think if I had my absolute way and got to do something I wanted to do more than anything else it would probably be some form of literary criticism, because I love analyzing stuff in that manner and my short stories English class was my favourite topic in university. But even that, I don't really read much anymore and definitely not literary novels, the analysis and criticism of the book is probably the only part I enjoy of reading so even that might feel like work.

Overall I think I'm in the right place where I am :)

For your second question, I think the biggest thing is you've just got to be open with people about who you are, what you like, how you feel and in particular about them. I can't speak for everyone obviously, but a big thing for me personally is knowing what I'm getting into in a relationship. I think the reason I've struggled so much in real life finding someone, other than taking forever and a day to realize my sexuality, is that I was really closed off with people and didn't really let them in on what I was thinking a lot, just through general shyness. Online and in type that is not nearly as much of a problem for me for whatever reason and I've had a lot more success.
