It isn't fun I have to squat on the floor and hear the ocean in my ears and I'm dizzy and I go blind for ~5 seconds ALL BECAUSE I STOOD UP TOO FAST lmao god I have Raynaud's too but that's a circulation problem likely pertaining to the other stuff
I have orthostatic tachycardia but I also got diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension so I have no idea what's what, but either way I have a really fast heart and low blood pressure and the only thing I can do to help is stand up slowly and take beta blockers.
I told the doctor I didn't want to quit epicmafia so the beta blockers weren't for me. Now I just take supplements
Illness: Anxiety (since high school) Coping mechanism: Alcohol or other substances; exercise or meditation
I'm pretty sure alcohol only makes the problem worse? Exercise and meditation sound like good options though.
i've done extensive research into this and can basically list the best "fixes" from first to last. alcohol is the best as it acts on the brain receptors that cause anxiety. unfortunately this comes with side effects such as a loss of motor skills, poor judgment, ect.
exercise is great because its natural (not artificial such as a drug) and also effective, but i don't always have 30 mins to set aside
when im facing high anxiety events such as a business meeting, interview, or speech, i'll take a xanax + stimulant for complete relief of all forms of anxiety. it will last 2-3 hours. don't try this unless youre extremely disciplined with medication
