Also, your argument is based on the fact that a cc who is guiltied is more scummy and likely to be lynched than if he had a partner cc. I reckon it's just as likely.
But I'm saying my scenario is better since there's at least a chance the partner can hide. If town lynches guiltied, which often happens anyway, then it's a guaranteed 100% auto for town since he's revealed.
Basically, I'm saying that basic strats differ on this point. Each way depends on how smart town is, and how good at bluffing the maf is. It depends how likely the town will be to lynch the guilty, and in my experience, having the partner hide is a better option.
Exactly, this is where I'm confused. The chances of a mafia fake guiltying a cop are low, I agree. So it is likely that the guiltied scum will be lynched. Why would you want to reveal the other mafia to the real cop? It's better for the guiltied to try and cc, and the other mafia to remain hidden to get to 3 way LYLO, surely? Especially in training where a lot of people assume wrongly that a guiltied cop is confirmed mafia.
Please explain where I am wrong. If mafia is guiltied, he should cc (not his partner), otherwise the real cop will know the team, and the mafia gain nothing from doing so. This will also often lead to clears, which is also bad for mafia.
