Haruka is a Japanese professional open-wheel race car driver, off-road motorcycle racer, and part-owner of "Tenomaru Racing." She has white blonde hair, green eyes (with gold in the iris), and is said to "very handsome" to most young women and some men. Because Haruka looks and dresses as a man, it's a bit of a mystery as to whether Haruka is a man or a woman. The only answer she gives is a question as to if something like that really matters. Haruka is also the civilian identity of Sailor Uranus, current incarnation of the Soldier of the Skies and the Guardian of Heaven. Uranus serves as de facto leader of the Soldiers of the Outer Solar System (Outer Senshi), whose main mission is the protection of the entire Solar System from all external threats that try to enter through the System's borders.
Haruka is friendly and outgoing, as well as a bit of a flirt. Her wealthy upbringing can make her seem arrogant from time to time but Haruka is a believer in achieving things based on one's own determination and regardless of one's gender. Haruka can be quick to anger to those who underestimate her. In extreme situations, Haruka will be ruthless and can even be considered to be cold. She believes that through a good end, the means can be justified.
She is also protective of Usagi, to the point of never being too far from away from her even when situations put them opposite one another.
