Not like an agent at all, except in closed role games when they can reveal all town roles. I agree that it is powerful, however since it can't actually find the mafia directly I think it isn't overpowered, especially if used in setups appropriately.

theyre not talking about outting the roles, its the fact that you can out names as well.
A lil op for closed roles: Det/Agent
a lil op for setups: det finding another pr such as watcher or anything like that and maf dont have roles to hide in making a setup with it in it would become extremely unbalanced.
Just my opinion. I like what it could do but I just cant see it being implemented well. and thats why im going to -k

it would town roles only obviously. Well maybe not, if it included maf roles, it'd have to be cced right away

@andy, he can only investigate town roles, that's the point. I'm aware that this is a relatively powerful role, but less so than detective (not to mention roles like santa, zombies and yakuza). If people think it's too powerful for Anonymous Games, then just don't include it in closed role setups.

No, a towny shouldn't be able to know all the town roles right off the bat for random setups. Also for actual setups he seems a bit overpowered.

If that's what you think, then just don't put it in anonymous games. But I've seen plenty of random games where WW has died n1 and revealed all roles but maf have gone on to win, despite people able to clear themselves.

This is true, in anon games he will also be able to give all town roles, so if both PI and agent are in game then town can find out all roles in game. Is this a bad thing though?

Think of it as a reverse detective, investigating roles rather than people. In some ways more powerful as can instantly find town power roles, in some ways less powerful as cannot find maf or third party and if multiple people have the same roles, like dreamer has a chance of getting the same report twice.
