But massclaims via whispers happen very rarely, and even then they happen usually just once per game. It won't have a strong enough impact on the game. And even then it can only be used in very specific setups.

The advantage of the hacker is that it is sneaky, and it's the opposite of keeping someone from whispering. It's taking advantage of people who do/have to

isnt this exactly the same as preventing someone from whispering? besides, they need some kind of notification saying that they've been hacked.

Also claiming and guise passwords would be less safe

I think that the fact that it could actively change which whispers are leaking can be a powerful thing. If important whispers leak, it could be a game changer.

I think it's underpowered, but I tend not to like roles that only affect whispers because of their uselessness in most situations.

I like that idea, maybe being able to switch the target who is leaking at any given moment would make it more useful.

It's about as effective as the silencer, only in a reverse manner. I do not see why it would not be competitive, though I agree with the fact that people do not usually whisper. Perhaps if they could choose their target at any point in time during the day, as does someone holding a gunsmith's gun, then it would be more useful to mafia.

I don't see how it would be easy to find the hacker, I think hacker should be able to hack himself, in order to fully conceal his identity.

So then the hacker strats could be Hack Pr's to foul up the claiming/communication or self hack to appear like the hacked pr.

Generally true, but we need to see if we can get this or the guy who can communicate with the deceased (channeler I think.) It'd add some new dimensions.

I dont think this would really be a good role, people are very cautious of what the whisper anyway. It s going to be REALLY easy to find out whos the hacker then , everyone will just spam whispers until it leaks lol
