Hacker
  • Hacker chooses a person at night.
  • If that person is a PR, he reverses the outcome of the night action.
  • (Cop gets opposite report, Doc kills, Watcher gets no visit, vig saves, BG kills self or VIP, etc)
  • Mafia kills cannot be reversed. Mafia abilities will be though.
  • If the hacked player is blue, the hacker will become blue.
  • Appears as town in reports. Can be watched at night.
  • Must survive for victory.

If you read through, there have been a few other Hacker playstyle suggestions, I like a few of them.

This could work, but it should only be leaked to mafia members, as town will quickly alert their buddeys

People spamming whispers wouldn't be an issue at all.

You can't see people when they self whisper, durr.
over 15 years
I like having only the hacker see the leaked whispers. Stops people from spamming whispers to see who's been hacked.
over 15 years
Well sure he could see whispers. Or you could just shut off whispers when making a setup. But no, making a role for it makes things hurrrrr, funnier.

Possible opposite of the Tabloid Reporter? (Sees Mason Meetings, or Cop Meetings, etc)

this is the shit

Hacker has a few different variations that people have suggested.

Nilla maf who sees all whispers.
Chooses players that will leak all whispers to/from

Could be either, could be both. (Both would make it worth having i think)
over 15 years
instead of leaking, hacker should just be the only one to see the whispers. its relatively useless though since people will just not whisper anyways.

You could create competitive setups that require people to claim/whisper.

Also what about game situations with whisper only?

Who knows
over 15 years
who whispers....
over 15 years
Interesting, though I think it's pretty useless in most setups.
You could easily avoid the leaking, by not whispering at all.
deletedover 15 years
sure why not
over 15 years
I think the Hacker should be able to see only a certain number of whispers to/from the person, or this will render claiming useless.
over 15 years
No whispers for hacker will cause an easy hacker-test. Same as disguiser in whisper setups when not guising n1

Well the hacker should be able to see all the whispers but he can't whisper and participate in mafia meetings so then he wouldn't be able to comunicate the whispers to his fellow mafia. So yes If the hacker role was third party and mafia sided it would be great.1. No whispers function for hacker.2. Can see all Whispers 3. NO mafia meeting for hacker 4. Third party

+K'd, even though it does only apply to some setups.

Every role is trollable, that isn't valid at all.

Cop can lynch inno.
Doc can save noone.
etc etc

So easily troll-able.
Night:
Hacker: I'm hacking the BlueBob
*Hacks fellow Mafioso*
Mafioso: kk

Think of it this way, the hacker hacks the cop, and for some reason a pr whispers him.

The hacker hacks himself, and has buddies whisper him to make them seem like they are being hacked.

The idea of the hacker in the game will change gameplay just by his presence.

I'm not sure how to make this clever role more powerful without getting away from the original point, or making it OP
