i dont think moderating is broken at the core, i just think the rapid shift in admins (im pretty certain it went from riot -> ark -> arcbell -> bronto -> vancy -> jasprar just this year) has led to a lack of cohesion in the moderation team and its not going to be fixed without a whole new team chosen by a new admin.

Slow would you expect two or three mods to handle all of the reports?
if you modded like two or three of the best mods to ever exist, yes.

it's a bad idea because you can't make topics about jericho being a kiddie fiddler and circlejerk with your buds, because you won't have irrelevant personal details to be up in arms about when the only thing that should actually matter with regard to someone's moderator qualifications is their competence in doing reports
Do you think that you should be allowed to cheat at the game you referee, Mr. Stickers?
not at the same time, but i do believe past cheaters can reform
I think that the urge to cheat at a psychology game for a pixel trophy is indicative of a bad moderator of said psychology game.
i think this site is full of internet teenagers that are possible of both doing stupid things that internet teenagers would think are good ideas, and also growing up during their time on this site

i would have been the best mod too, if it wasnt for that meddling phil.

it's funny, because you repeatedly insist that moderating on this site is inherently broken at its core, yet your response to the idea of a complete overhaul of the mod system is "but that's not how things are"
Reports are an important part. That and, you know, behave.

bill has some weird and bad opinions about modding. frankly, i only listen to the opinions of former mods and kyle, the best former mod.

reports are the least important part of modding
yeah and that's entirely the issue with moderating on this site
the solution: make it about the reports

i cant begin to imagine the amounts of scrutiny that would become possible with anonymous moderating.

then theres the problem of keeping identities secret which on this site, everyones outted eventually.
yeah, the secret mods would work better in a larger community. EM is too small for it because it's like the internet version of Cheers, only instead of a bar its an online forum.
it's like a bar where only 4 people can legally drink

"irrelevant personal details"
cheating isn't irrelevant nor personal.
