puella madoka magica is great if you haven't seen it for like the five years its been out. like come on, I can even apply literay analysis to it. each character has a foil; some of the episode titles are ironic; the title is ironic; shots foreshadow later developments in the plot and the characters change. and it does a great job of showing and not telling, if that makes any sense for an anime. it doesn't have the voiceovers saying "this is my friend xyz, they are blah and blah and these are their character traits". it's all very well done.
keijo can be cringy, but its actually pretty well done. It's the hype and over the top-ness of a sports anime with fanservice and cute girls. Its done seriously, but its pretty satirical. You just end up rooting for the characters~

At one point or another creators of an anime will look at their work and think "man, what was wrong with us when we decided to make this."
Flip Flappers is probably AotS for cloud. The story is kinda nonexistent for the first half of the anime and cloud doesn't like SoL, but it makes up for it with the colors and the animation being 10/10. Other anime cloud watched this season are Drifters (the story doesn't progress fast enough, but its fun enough), Keijo (it is amazing and you should watch it), Shuumatsu no Izetta (overall a disappointment with a cool premise but bad story and being rushed), and Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku (solid story but lacks some intensity? overall very worthwhile). cloud watched Haikyuu and it was enjoyable, but Keijo seems like a stronger sports anime this season.
Not going to give Yuri on Ice a try because 2 sports anime in 1 season are enough. Dropped Trickster because it just wasn't good. Might pick it up again now that finals are done and cloud is just bumming for a day or two.
