DS1 is simply more fleshed out in every way compared to DS2. DS2 is the prime example of a rushed game with nothing really connecting; feeling like it's trying to do too much and falling short. With that said I hope DS3 doesn't feel like DS2 and hope to god the map makes geological sense.

Darks souls 2 isn't the good kind of hard though, the first one is much more enjoyable.

Having said that, the game feels easier which is a little meh.
