also paladin got absolutely shafted this expansion. the only new deck viable for them is something centered around divine shield or small buffs. yet to see if dragon pally can make a resurgence. dubious though, with the lack of 2-3 mana dragons
the logic with ironbeak owl and kotg would have made more sense if they made spellbreaker 5 mana cost... but as is, kotg is fine due to new druid legendary, but owl is now worthless and will be replaced by spellbreaker in every deck... which is a dumb change
I honestly think a fatigue Druid would be so fun to build with N'Zoth and Soul of the Forest. Save Soul of the Forest for large minions + Malorne. Malorne stops the deck from pushing your fatigue. Will be difficult to construct efficiently though.
As far as Keeper of the Grove nerf is concerned, they took the viewpoint that 2-1 single battle cry Ironbeak Owl is now a 3 drop, so they figured 2-2 double battle cry minion for 4 was a balance. However, they didn't take the implied balance into account whereby they nerfed the other Druid cards. I think it was poor.
really disappointed they didnt add any new rogue weapon. i think that's a huuuge mistake, and possibly the catalyst that provoked nerfing blade flurry... but yeah, they needed to add a strong rogue weapon. so burst rogue is pretty much dead... we'll see how deathrattle/tempo/midrange works, i guess... i have a feeling it won't be good enough, though. that 9 mana destroy minion is great, but 9 mana.... and control rogue just doesnt seem possible still - not enough healing / recovery elements available.
everything else, super hype. esp. excited for midrange pirate warrior
lol, these nerfs. The druid nerfs are ridiculous. I don't think the Keeper nerf is as bad as it sounds just cuz of the flexibility it allows but 2/2 was still overkill. Ancient of Lore is just simply unplayable now. Nobody ever used it for heal and if you use it for heal, you're usually gonna lose anyway unless you have lethal the next turn. FoN nerf actually wouldn't mind making egg druid with it (losing Naxx kinda hurts that deck tho) but apart from that seems pretty bad.
I'm glad they nerfed Arcane Golem because I just literally hate that card but it's unplayable now. Knife Juggler should have been hit harder imo, but it shouldn't be quite as bad in standard because of the loss of muster/implosion in particularly so not nerfing the ability doesn't sound horrible. Cancer Juggler unleash the hounds combo still gonna be there. And Leper Gnome was way too annoying, I'm glad it's nerfed as well. Probably my second most hated card.
Didn't nerf divine favour, the most toxic card in the game, annoys me tbqh.
And rogue nerfs are actually really funny. Blade flurry needed to be nerfed but not that much. I think just not dealing damage to enemy hero was enough, and maybe increase the mana cost by 1 but 2 is pretty overkill.

They just killed an entire class. I doubt there'll be any top-level druid deck in near future even with WOG. The nerf of keeper of the grove was totally unnecessary. i can't even call it class card, Spellbreaker will be much superior imo.
2/2 vs. 3/2 is a huge stat difference. tbh it's the perfect nerf to retain the effect entirely, which is what they wanted to do here. u can complain about juggler's juggles, but that's just what they want. and from that viewpoint, i think it's a pretty solid choice to make it a 2/2. 2/2 cannot kill a lot of important 2/3, and even more importantly, it cannot ping into a X/4 and kill it.
it's still very strong, but again, that's what they want for the card. clearly they dont want the same for arcane golem and blade flurry lol
actually my theory on blade flurry is that the weapon rogue is getting in WOG is going to be insane. let's see though, it hasn't been revealed yet, and i think it's for a reason. they're saving it for tmrw's livestream
blizzard honestly has no idea what they're doing with balancing i swear, you either get knife juggler which was basically unscathed or blade flurry which is almost unplayable unless they introduce more cards
it's a fine nerf i think, it's still dangerous to keep around but easier to remove. a lot better than some of these nerfs that just outright murdered the card
