It removed weapon durability for pros and cons. It made it so that sometimes using a steel weapon would be better than a silver at times. It's the better thing because you were just going to use the silver and brave weapons at the end anyways. Plus they didn't desimplify it moreso than awakening. The pair up was broken in awakening, but now they've balanced it reasonably.
wasnt awakening supposed to be all-or-nothing (meaning if it didnt do well fe would end there) and since it did so well they decided to make more
idk man it feels like fire emblem to me. theres no reason they cant try new things

they really took out weapon durability... jesus
Yeah, because weapon durability was all skill. All you had to do was just get some silver weapons to buy and you're good for the rest of the game.
the point is that it's slowly removing any sort of strategic elements to the game. awakening already did this but you could forgive it since it was more or less a hail mary as far as fe installments go. fe14 really has no valid reason to desimplify the gameplay even moreso since awakening was more popular than syphillis
I was planning on getting Hoshido first but Conquest had prettier box art
i lost 2 characters on the last move of that chapter only to find out all i had to do was survive. then i accidentally saved. rip nyx/effie, f*ck u chapter 10
