Generally if it has a good story that's the most important part to me.

I like rpgs though, art style doesnt matter too much but today's graphics make me drool they are so beautiful. Also I prefer real time now but like final fantasy as a good turn-based fighting system, although i suppose most jrpgs have the turn based fighting.

Are you trying to find a new game to buy?

it depends on the mood you want to create and what the goal in the game is i guess. i love rpgs though, and im a sucker for the pixel art style in ghost trick

besides that, i like turnbased but there's so much you can do with it to make it unique
