Just picked up my Super Smash Brothers edition Nintendo Switch, pre-downloaded Super Smash Brothers: Ultimate, pre-downloaded the code for the Piranha Plant character, and now the wait begins.
I'm way too happy that Ken is in the game, along with his moves having the Street Fighter 2 differentiation from Ryu's moveset. I have a feeling he's gonna be a bit more technical because of this, but his combo and reset game is gonna be obnoxious.
Out of all the new characters, I think Simon, Chrom, and Ken are gonna be the ones used the most in terms of competitive play. Then Ken will be nerfed by a patch and I will be sad.
Overall I'm extremely excited about Ultimate. Literally everything from every Smash game is included, making this a gigantic game.
Yea i was thinking Shadow will finally make it too, in my honest opinion if Cloud can make it then its fair grounds for Sora too. @matt i think if we get Sora we probably will get Roxas as an echo like they literally go hand in hand Roxas is a perfect echo character. and its not like we havent seen a newcomer already come with an echo fighter (Simon and Richter) So i have my hopes up that IF sora makes it Roxas will no doubt come with him. Im not too sure if Sora will make it but I hope he does since Cloud did, also if anything Sora (and or Roxas) might come as a DLC later in the year after a port for the new Kingdom hearts game comes to the switch. it would be good marketing for Sora to come into smash.
the K Rool reveal was so legendary with that troll they put in there I wish it lasted a little longer or it fade to black and then K Rool would come back in. Most people kind of knew it was a head fake troll. I personally think Sora would be a great addition to Smash Bros and having Roxas as his echo fighter since they technically are the same person theyd have the same movest just different Keyblades. Not sure if any other Kingdom Hearts fans on this site but I started Kingdom Hearts on 358/2 days so I was always more of a Roxas fan over Sora.
i hope that "waifu" characters like the blue haired fire emblem one, the green haired one, daisy, samus, etc are all low tier so we get to see all the *you know whos* cry and whine everywhere. i love salt!
It feels like they took Smash 4, made a ton of adjustments to the gameplay and characters, and added a ton of amazing visuals, and a few characters. To be honest, I'm actually fine with this, because a few games have changed drastically from game to game that have taken a horrible downfall ((Looking at you 2K!)) and I enjoyed Smash 4, really it would be certain characters that kinda ruined the game for me, one big example being Bayonetta, otherwise the gameplay was nice.
It was a bigger surprise to see Snake back in the game than it was seeing Ridley in the game. Happy Ryu is back, and I'm glad that Little Mac can now go side-B into up-B on recovery, help that recovery out please!
I agree with Flygon here. Waluigi is literally useless outside of Mario Sports and I think Nintendo should use him in other games (such as a Mario platformer or even WarioWare) before even considering him for Smash
Like he doesnt even have to playable in other appearences, just as an important NPC like Rosalina was before they had a waifu implosion
