Doing that with your tongue pierced isn't all that bad, you're not supposed to kiss, eat solid food / drink alcohol / do any form of blood thinners in the first week.
I did all of the above on the first night as we had this gig and mine has come out quite good despite the conditions, do clean it plenty of times a day and you should be fine, only eat when it doesn't hurt too bad and make sure no food remains get stuck in the pierced area!
