I didn't check the game you posted but fake-softing cop as blue makes it harder for town to win.

Why? Check the possible scenarios:

If you soft guilty and die as blue, it's easy for maf to push on that person. I.E i say guilty xpiam and i die, then you get fossed.

If you soft cop, real cop may even waste a report on you, gathering no real info into d2

If real cop dies and you retract the next day guess who's targeted
