Popcorn mafia is a 9-player setup revolving around a clear with a gun (chosen first by the mafia during n0). The person with the gun acts as a dayvig for the remainder of the day. If the gunbearer shoots correctly, he keeps the gun and is allowed to shoot again, if not, he dies and the person he shot will get the gun. This goes on until all mafia are eliminated or mafia has majority. There will be no night phase aside from n0, along with no votecount/standard lynching.

Days will typically last 48 hours. If the gunbearer does not shoot by the time deadline is up, he will be modkilled and the gun will go to someone else.
Also, hitting the first mafia gives us 1 extra ML no matter when it happens, but there will never be odds higher than 50-50 of getting maf in any given shot. Don't waste your life and the ML by random-shooting or trying to shoot town, please. Alright, that's enough about mechs from me.
Dad just explained the read that continued from his entrance by quoting a post from after his entrance and adding nothing more. Devin's not doing too well either at the moment.

Ohhh, okay. I believe the chance of hipfiring 5 different townies (and losing w/o hitting either mafia in doing so) would be ~11%, but correct me if I'm wrong, @everyone. :P

I think elaborating on reads is made way more important in this gamemode, since the kill is always controlled by one VT. Everyone will be able to directly choose a maximum of 1 and a minimum of 0 lynches, and who has a say in each one is determined by who people thought was mafia the day before rather than who WANTS to choose, so hiding your reads means everyone is completely on their own and... yeah. I hope that made enough sense and I don't have to reiterate it in a more comprehensible way.
ill tentatively mark sincerely as town but as i said way earlier, this type of setup doesn't encourage tryhard longposts at all. my statistics question was moreof an excercise in maths as i was curious as to what the % is of not hitting mafia at all in 5(!) shots.
I thought dad was probably town. At the time, it didn't seem like an entrance mafia would feel comfortable using... or something? They could, of course, but reads in general are very weak right now and there's no way we can have strong ones so w/e.
I guess mafia would think of what devin said after all, but again, w/e.

PODRACING is annoying and clearly has no intention of adding anything even after being fosed. Even if the shot thing was insincere, it was still a stupid line. If he comes back and doesn't make any attempt to actually play, I'll probably start lobbying to get him subbed out.
No one else has spoken without being cleared/killed. I'm obviously trying to form reads off nothing so they're not strong and Hibiki shouldn't shoot over just this much if at all possible -- unless he thinks your content has been distinctly scummy, which I would trust over my impression atm.
Edit: it's too bad hibiki's the clear because he seems like one of the people who would help us get this going and actually play well, but having the gun early on with this slow-paced game sort of nullifies that advantage.
The less we attempt to contribute, the more mafia has the upper hand because town has a time limit for shooting and can't get reads if no one speaks.
i don't townread that because anyone who is fos'd yes gets a gun but now has all of the pressure of shooting right, not to mention if you get shot you just lost a lynch because whoever shot you dies. and no i don't have any other reads because none really exist. if you want to share your reads feel free because maybe i can bounce ideas off of them

one should ALWAYS automatically elaborate on their reads in forum mafia. The question should have been implied by my fos on you.
I don't have good reads either so far. I asked Zayn why he didn't shoot someone other than Hibiki because I at some point had the thought that Hibiki wouldn't enter like that as town (without doing anything to assert his innocence) and there is very little to go off of so I was annoyed to have zayn (a good player) quickshoot a relatively towny person.

also negged. connor, on the bright side if you do kill me i promise to take my time and not yolo shoot. well, maybe or i might just hipfire devin. i'll end up flipping a coin for that.
oh i just read why you fos me sincerely and that's p bad just an fyi, because, given the lack of content it's pretty easy to fos the same people. you could have asked me to elaborate on my reads and i don't really know why you didn't especially considering i'm one of "three people including you who have actually given any content"
you better not! actually go ahead and do it because quite honestly i only joined the game because i felt like doing a tryhard forum mafia game and you were in it, but hey that's not what we have. devin is still a fine shot, and i say that because all of his lines were forced so far or look that way, and his reaction isn't all that. sincerely, no idea why you were asking zayn, who's dead, why he didn't shoot me, and then argued that i've given content, but then also argued that i could be mafia. uhhhh i mean i'm not going to give anymore reads cause quite honestly i can't. my only scumreads were devin/connor the latter purely because he didn't give a flying fucc about the game so i guess shoot devin and i'll ate the sh1t outa him if he's town
