It's not about bad words. It's about publicly, vulgarly insulting other users as a moderator. Moderators are supposed to resolve conflict, not encourage it by demonstration.

In his defense, it's better than when he was a mod and called people the N-word all the time, so we're making quite a bit of progress over the years. It's just a shame that by the time he's my age, there'll be about 300 new bad words that he'll have to learn aren't okay to say anymore.
i don't understand in which context an american could call a person a spastic but, as in calvin's example, i would hesitate to give a vio to someone who said "spazzing over their keyboard" since it doesn't mean the person's a spastic

why are we fighting a battle about someone who has clearly shown not to care or be offended by giga calling them handicap
The technicalities of whether this is HC or not are irrelevant. The bottom line is that Giga is a moderator and should not be speaking to other members of the community like that. If he takes pride in insulting other people then that's his own choice, but don't also let him remain a moderator, a role model, on the site.

In relation to the report, it was never about the word itself. I've said repeatedly it is about his overarching ableist message but somehow this keeps getting distorted to mean I am leading a war against the word spastic. I am not, and I have explained this so many times that I am beyond frustrated
