a few notes: - ryuji is an annoying dunce - makoto's "awakening" is the best ever - shojiro is impossible to hate - the style and music of this game are outstanding - the story is hit and miss - adachi is the killer

so i'm at the final dungeon and i'm using this
i'm mega not looking forward to having to play through ng+ until roughly november to snag Just One Trophy but i'll do it for platinum i guess
edit: also getting the craftworker trophy was actual agony because the game doesn't count it when you have kawakami make items for you so i basically had to grind all on the last possible day for materials and guess which stuff i hadn't made. meanwhile the futaba lines trophy was super easy, i dunno why people complain about that one so much
anyone who dislikes sojiro is not invited to my fourth of july bbq

that boss was agony highway

I didn't finish the game but I made damn sure that my character banged Makoto before I quit. If I can't get the girl, then my stupid Persona 5 character is going to.
Plus that b*tch prosecutor was just such a huge obstacle in the game. You want to harass poor Sojiro? I'll bang your sister.

to be fair makoto is probably going to be my choice too, she's been cybernetically engineered by these games to be as cute and appealing to me as possible
her and naoto are like, unbearably my type
edit: by my type i mean that in a one way street kinda way

I'm a makoto man myself

i haven't fought the boss i just disliked that the demons were so repetitive and the dungeon layout was really inconsistent. first half was trying to be mazelike and then the second half was just weird "fight enemy, collect item, solve mundane puzzle" sections.
at least futaba will be my new waifu (for laifu, presumably)

I felt the same way because the boss is a tutorial to using Futaba even on hard mode. Weird design choice.

you know i think futaba's palace is the first dungeon i didn't actually enjoy, which is a shame
quirky thing that only i ever do and no one else does: when i confirm a fusion with microsoft sam, i try to say "my, my" in his voice

got to the treasure in third palace. guide says i need a minimum of 100k yen before leaving, not including other expenses i'll have to look out for (temperance rank, buying fertilizer, summoning personas)
rn i'm at 113k before selling items and i'm very nervous. i just barely made it through the past few weeks wrt money (oddly enough the extra day the guide missed saved me) and with limited visits to palaces and mementos i'm dreading locking myself into oliver twist: the anime.
bleh. i'm probably gonna grind an hour or so and hope for the best.

FYI Morgan rank 10 link is tied to completing Mementos.

thoughts:
-i've literally never been to mementos since the tutorial for it
I did hard mode without a guide and I'm still 2 dungeons short of finishing the game but I did beat Mementos, which might literally my favorite part of the game. You seriously missed out, imo. A ton of bonus story goes on in there.
Also I am of the opinion that guides ruin these games.
can you visit mementos without wasting time? if so i'd have been on that .
also ftr i didn't post any p5 confidants since i haven't finished any. i'm at rank 9 with chariot though and it's probably going to end stronger than chie's.
Yeah there's enough time to do it and everything else if you're using a guide and you do a ton of it at once every time you go in

also fwiw i actually like akechi so far. he has a clear goal and characterization, and isn't immediately hateable, which with persona games is rare.
first impressions remind me of a mix between naoto and adachi, though i'm doubting that'll run consistently throughout.
