ehh i was always taught that it was more of a sexuality based concept and the distinction of gender and sexuality being very much important because by thinking as the two as different it deconstructs heterosexuality itself and demonstrates that gender is not an indication of sexuality but you are right i guess!! heteronormativity refers to the construct of sexuality and the gender binary is a rigid defined classification of gender and they're two isolated things, not to say that gender/sexuality never intersect but in this case the two terms aren't related

what does the gender binary have to do with being heteronormative? whilst i believe that gender can and is much more fluid than what the rigid gender binary tells us it is and that being heteronormative is bad the two don't intersect
